I wanted to try screwing arround with some more stuff in the blog, i know i need to fix some theming stuff and overall everything needs major improvments but i have the next 2ish weeks off so i'll probably do that. or maybe ill just play final fantasy 14 cause i just starting getting into it, and the path of exile 1 league just started. who know i might actually do something productive.
One thing i have really been meaning to do is make a proper server. right now my 'server' is a dell xps13 laptop that has a 3tb external hard drive plugged into it running portainer on debian. that thing is doing everything, syncthing, filebrowser, jellyfin and navidrome all through tailscale. hell i even have a comic book server there. but yeah at some point i need something bigger cause 450gb of music is getting kinda ridiculous, and thats AFTER a purge, it used to be over 500gb. i used to have all of one piece on jellyfin but i realised that was unsustainable on my current setup, even if it was really cool.
i guess i wanted to expand on how i've got this blog working, basically there is a shell script in my `~/.local/bin/` that takes the current date and a name input and makes an org mode file in the blog folder for this site and writes a bunch of template stuff into it like the date, title the back button and all of that. its actually kinda cool. so then i can do this through emacs like the gnu/gods intended or whatever. honestly if it weren't for org-mode and its ability to export into basically anything i probably would have failed so many subjects cause my reports would've looked terrible.
so anyway, the scripts makes a template file, i write stuff like this, press some wierd key bind (`SPC-m-e-h-h`) and it exports that all into html and one of the header arguments in the template tells it to look for a style.css and presto a janky ass way to make blogging kinda automated. except i still have to drag and drop it into neocities or nekoweb and manually add an entry to the blog.html.
but it works.
So i guess thats a little bit about me. which i should probably add in the about me section, i'll figure that out later. I like linux, I've been using it since the end of 2021 when i graduated highschool, I'm almost 22 and i am in my second year of uni studying electrical engineering. I like video games, comics, manga, making my own keyboards, music and all round nerd shit. But aside from that
